Dash's SUPER 4th Birthday!

Dash's birthday was on the 14th... Valentines Day. He wanted a Superhero party so we sent out top secret birthday invitations and invited all of his friends over for super hero training. They all came dressed as their favorite super hero. They made radio active spiders, colored pictures of their favorite super hero, and made Spiderman masks. Then they learned how to work as a team as they built their spider web and then bounced a "spider" (balloon) on the web.

They played Spiderman Says to test their super listening skills, and hit a pinata to test their spider senses. They ate healthy snacks like apples, grapes, pretzels, string cheese... to help them grow big and strong.
While they were hitting the pinata a villain stole the cake and they were able to help find it. Then came cake #3 for the week.

Happy Birthday Chris!

Next was Chris's birthday on the 12th. He turned 28! Kara watched the kids so we could go out to dinner (Thanks so much Kara). Then we came home and ate cake number 2 for the week and Kara's homemade ice cream.

I am so sorry it has taken so long to put this on the blog. I know your birthday was a few weeks ago Chris, but I just want to let you know how much I love you! Although, I miss you terribly as you are at school 12 hours a day, work every Saturday, and immerse yourself into studying for Boards, finals, and practicals, I know it will soon be over. I really appreciate how hard you are working to insure that we have a great future together. We love you so much!!! We look forward to seeing you more after boards are over in March. Maybe next year you will have more time to celebrate your birthday properly. LOVE YOU!

Cake #1 in week of birthdays

My dear friend/next door neighbor, Kara, had her birthday on Feb 10th. I made this cake for her. It had to be one of the ugliest cakes I have ever made. When I took the cake out of the pan half of it stayed in the pan and the other half plopped onto the plate. I had to do a little reconstructive surgery to make it presentable. Frosting and Strawberries can make anything look good. It tasted much better then it looked though!
