Rock Climbing on Easter Eve

What an exciting day! Dash got to go rock climbing for the first time. He told me that he wants to be just like his daddy and Spider man so naturally he loved it, and he is a natural!

Chris is convinced that fearless Miley is the next "rock star"! She had to get involved in the action. What can I say? We train them young!

He loved swinging on the rope "like a monkey" just as much as he loved climbing.

They had other fun things for kids to play with at the gym. Dash enjoyed preforming his drum solo while Chris and I Climbed. When he wasn't playing the drums he was shouting climbing tips and encouragement to us as we climbed.

"The Blizzard of 08"

Everyone was calling this "The Blizzard of 08" but really it was just a big snow storm that collected close to 2 feet of snow. We had a level 2 snow emergency and were advised not to leave the house unless it was absolutely necessary. Some areas were under level 3 snow emergencies and people were getting ticketed if they were caught driving. I wish I had taken a picture of Dash's Tricycle in the back yard. The handle bars were the only things poking through the snow. We tried to build a snowman but it wouldn't pack together so I showed Dash and Miley how to make snow angles.

This was Miley's first encounter with this wintry wet stuff and she loved it!

A glance back

Dash turned 3 years-old on February 14th... my favorite Valentine! We had big plans for his birthday. A day at the zoo with his best buddy Noah, The Veggie Tales movie, and a party with his friends. That was the plan until he woke up at 5am on his birthday with croop. Poor kid! How do you explain to a kid that his birthday is canceled. So we had his friends over the following Sunday for a little party.

Now every time Dash prays he thanks god for presents.
