Family Traditions

Growing up, I loved to help my mom make inexpensive Christmas decorations. This is one of my very favorite decorations. All you do is stick whole cloves into an orange. I paired it with an apple Cinnamon candle this year, but it also looks nice mixed with pine cones, nuts, or other fruit. My house smells so yummy!

3 months-old today!

I can't believe that it has been that long. My little girl is growing up!

Don't Touch That Sqaurls Nuts!

Dash was eating his lunch next to the window as he watched the squirrels play outside. He turned to me and stated "squirrels! Don't touch his nuts!" I thought it was so cute that he had remembered the new Willy Wonka movie and was trying to quote it..."Don't touch that squirrels nuts!" However, he likes to randomly say this new phrase through out the day. Except he has shortened it to "Don't touch his nuts!" I am afraid that someone is going to call CPS on us one of these days. I have tried to explain that it is very important to get the quote right. He must specify the squirrels It changes the meaning of his statement. : )

Ward Trunk-or-Treat

Dash walked in the bedroom as Chris was zipping up his full body spandex suit. He took one look at his dad and his jaw dropped, "Dad is a Super Hero!" he declared in shock.

Chris was not about to leave the house in this costume, but at last he could not turn down a dare. It paid off too, because he won "The Costume that Defies Description Award" at the ward trunk-or-treat! The ward is still all a buzz about this non-discript super hero! Dash could not have been more proud of his dad.
