Just Chillin

Dash saw his mommies Hula outfit and thought that it would be a great idea to try it out!
Rebecca bought it so she could easily find her friends at a convention she was going to go to but sadly shes unable to go. So Dash took it and danced around the living room Hula style and then went outside to play ball.
He was having a great time but got tired of it when his coconuts kept sagging to his knees; I told him not to worry about it because it happens to everyone even the Hula dancers.

JUMP!
This is one of the many bridges at one of our local parks (Three Creeks Metro Park). It looks scary but it's not as bad as it seems. For some reason I felt the need to walk across it. Although, Becca thought it was a dumb idea I still had a good time =)
This day we ran a mile and walked about five it was a good outing with the family. It was beautiful, only 75 degrees all day long! We decided we needed to enjoy it because before to long the high humidity and temps will be here.

Look at that a twenty foot waterfall only minutes from our house called Hayden Run Falls. It seems strange to have this so close to neighborhoods and never hear about it.

I didn't have to be in clinic until the afternoon so we went on this short little hike to the falls. It was about ten degrees cooler near the falls and on a day when the temperature hit 85 it was nice to just hang out at the waterfall.
Dash thought it would be a good idea to hop in the falls and take a shower but when he felt the water he decided that it was better just to look. On the way out we saw a big snake of some type and also some ducks. Later on we went on a short walk near the reservoir and then called it a day.

I think this might run all year and maybe I could have a place to go ice climbing too :)
(wishful thinking)

Fun at the metro park!

We went to metro park about a half hour away today.  We went on a short hike through the woods and to a pond.  Dash was so excited when he saw a beaver and ducks.

"I will give you a kiss if you like it or not!"

                              Run away!

After our hike the kids got high.

Well, they got high on the swings.

Early Father's Day

Who has two thumbs and loved his Father's Day gift----this guy!  For those of you that don't get that joke it's time to start watching more of the Office.

My friends in school have a running joke that we should put one of Dwight's quotes on a t-shirt.  This happens to be one of his best and it's strangely applicable to optometry school.

What's for dinner tonight?

Beans, beans...
the musical fruit...
the more you eat the more you...

toot!

You can now post comments on our blog. I have been trying for months to fix our blog so that readers could leave comments, but I just couldn't figure out what was wrong. My genius (gloating) husband gets on our blog for 5 minuets and it is fixed. Feel free to comment or leave messages.

2 Years Down 2 More to Go!

I just wanted to publicly congratulate Chris on completing his second year in optometry school . He is now officially a 3rd year student. He actually only has one year left of class and then one year of exturn rotations. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am so proud of you Chris and all the hard work you have put into your education! You are going to be a great Doctor! Dash, Miley, and I love you so much and thank you for taking such good care of us!

This is the look you never want to see your Doctor give you!!!

(This picture was snapped back in April when Chris started clinic . I was his first patent! He did such a great job! I think he was a little surprised and embarrassed that I brought my camera.)
